5 former Sheffield Junior football league players at World Cup

Recommended Posts

Sheffield Junior Football league is one of the best in the country and 5 former players (Stones, Cahill, Walker, Maguire and Vardy) are all at the world Cup with England.

Great achievement this and credit to the league for their involvement in them getting there.

Got me thinking though, could we have an all South Yorkshire team and who else would make it.

Which Sheffield junior league teams did they play for?, I thought Stones was a Barnsley lad.

Maybe the OP was referring to the Sheffield & Hallamshire Football Association.

Thanks..........

Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur) is from Doncaster, so that makes five South Yorkshire lads in the England squad.
