Mr Pops   10 #1 Posted January 5, 2018 Where is there in Sheffield I can buy proper Pork dripping? Not the rubbish you buy in tubs from the supermarket, but the loose stuff with separate dark jelly.  I get it from Donny market but looking for somewhere closer to home. It's supplied by Waterall Bros. I prefer Beres myself. They blend the jelly with the dripping.
 Share this content via...

blackydog   40 #8 Posted January 9, 2018 Heathen !!  Why? is it not lard? I don't eat any pork whatsoever so don't have any experience of it.
 Share this content via...
Thorpist   71 #9 Posted January 10, 2018 I thought lard was produced by heating pig fat using steam and dripping produced by roasting pig. Someone who really knows will be along soon.
 Share this content via...

FIRETHORN1 Â Â 53 #12 Posted February 21, 2018 Talbot's butchers in Hillsborough do a very lovely pork dripping - with separate jelly "bottoms" . The blended stuff is okay, but I much prefer my drippin' with separate bottoms! Crawshaw's - also in Hillsborough (near Morrison's) do a good drippin' too - and if I'm in the Moor Market, Waterall's is the place I head for.
