Smoker wanting to quit? Try an Android app by Cambridge University

Recommended Posts

Q Sense is a new, free-to-use Smartphone Android app developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge to support smokers with their quit attempt. The app works by learning about the user’s smoking habits before they quit, so it can send location-based personalised support once quit-date arrives. The app also gives users feedback about their smoking habits, and contains a library of tips and ideas to help stay motivated.

If you own an Android smartphone, currently smoke, and are interested in trying Q Sense, please email me, Sarah, at [email protected]. You will be asked to try the app for about a month and to answer a brief telephone survey beforehand and afterwards. Everyone who completes the study receives a £10 shopping voucher to compensate their time. Thanks for your interest!
