Citreon c3 central locking messes up when got stereo in

ive bought a citreon c3 had no stereo in so put 1 in then my central locking wont work any help appreciated had 2 take stereo out

My girlfriend had the same(ish) problem when she had a stereo fitted in her C3.

Every time a CD was put in and played, the engine just stopped.

Eventually, and after much mucking about by my goodself, I came upon the answer and managed to fix it. :thumbsup:

First try a BSI reset:

If that doesn't work you may need a Lexia diagnostic. Give me a shout if you need me to recommend anyone.

 

It may be that the former owner knew the stereo was mucking things up, so took it out.

I would imagine, in Alco's case the cure was simple...Don't play CD's :huh:
