Jokey cards vile or not?

Recommended Posts

Saw them, read them, moved on.

To be offended by something is subjective.

I've had some very funny cards sent to me that contain lots of profanities, and I've laughed.

No they shouldn't be banned.

Exactly let's not have a Mary Whitehouse of joke cards. There is enough PC around without including censorship of artwork. Porno films offend many but they are legal for adult viewing. If you are offended by anything , walk away from it.

I thought the Shannon Matthews one was quite funny. No, they shouldn't be banned.

I don’t agree about the Shannon Matthews card. It is quite unpleasant really. Shannon hasn’t done anything wrong and doesn’t deserve to be the subject of such a card. Remember that she will be almost 20 now and very aware of the card.

The others seem ok to me. In general, I’m not a fan of banning things.

When you're an amateur artist/illustrator trying to get noticed but are ignored and getting nowhere fast, its tempting to go down the shock/controversial route.
