“Ohhhhh it's HiJack! Hottest in tha game right nowww!! Wuuuuutttt!!! “

- Louis Louis (http://www.itslouislouis.blogspot.com/)

Ohhh yes,Ye Gods we are very excited about this one, over the next few

months we will be bringing you the crem de la crem of dancing music,

and to kick things off in a big way we have the fidget house genius

that is Hijack. Anybody who has seen this man play will vouch - he has

got serious skills ,and this is one that should not be missed.

Hijack is known for making and playing bouncy, funk-fueled grooves

with chunky beats and quirky hooks. His sound fuses jacking house and

techno, with samples from all musical eras and genres. Influences span

from James Brown to the Neptunes, and include house pioneers Dave

Taylor, Derrick Carter, and Jacob London. At a time when there are

literally thousands upon thousands of producers , there aren’t that

many that are able to make something with a signature sound, and

Hijack is one of the few that can.

Jon Chant began making bootlegs and edits for DJ sets and mix tapes as

HiJack back in 2005. In the last 3 years he has produced a long list

of HiJack tracks and remixes, whilst running label Jack Union Records,

and making projects under the alias Vukasin.

Since 2006, HiJack has become an established name in the UK’s

underground house scene. The debut “HiJackin' EP” was released with On

The Brink Recordings, and championed by the likes of Claude Vonstroke,

Oliver $, and Lee Mortimer. Since then, more EPs have hit the stores,

including Jack Union’s “Wobble House EP”, “Jackpot EP” and the recent

“Keep It Real” on US label Potty Mouth Music.

HiJack’s remix projects have included reworks of tracks from Santiago

and Bushido, The Bulgarian, and Nic Sarno, for labels including

Brickhouse and Wearhouse Music. In early 2008, the bass-heavy remix of

Andy George’s “Big Dipper” received frequent airplay on Radio 1 and

support from DJs worldwide, including the Crookers and Kissy Sellout.

His Latest Remix on Jenga’s “Move Ya” is a personal favourite. This

will be massive,And to put a big shiney cherry on top, the first 20

people to write on the wall get in for FREE, and they'll be some more

offers flyering around, we'll keep you posted...
