Pitsmoor Post Office - an inn for prisoners?

Recommended Posts

Hi, does anyone know anything about Pitsmoor Post Office being used as an inn for prisoners before they went to the moors?

I was told it was a place where prisoners stopped to receive water on their way to prison

Thanks. :) Do you know of anywhere online or any books I could use to learn more about it?

No sorry I was told the story by the man who ran the Post Office in the 80s.He dug up an old fountain in the garden and got in touch with the museum but they weren't interested
