muddycoffee   10 #25 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) I'm curious how this works. Do you have one specific place of employment, and then you have to travel to other sites, or is your place of employment not specified and you just have to work where you are required.  Are you expected to provide a car to enable you to get to each site? In these circumstances, does your employer refund the cost of parking? When you work at the trust, you can be moved to any site depending upon where your manpower is required by your superiors. Some people stay in one hospital, others work "across city" which means they work at the northern as well as in the central site (RHH, WPH, CCH and Jessops Wing). There is a bus provided by the trust "H1" which runs between the Hallamshire and Northern, employees can travel on it for free. Managers, consultants and everyone use these busses one runs every 30 minutes. The trust also has a transport department with vans which can be used to move equipment between sites and some departments have small vans and cars if they have to move equipment.  Like any kind of work if you are making a trip for business purposes, you can claim for parking and fuel for your private car, like if you attended a training course or a meeting in another city. The rules are clearly available to employees as to what they can claim in expenses. I don't think anyone would be able to claim for parking within Sheffield.  Does this answer your question?
