Jim Hardie   527 #25 Posted February 24, 2018 Yep, I was at that game to, stood in the pouring rain at leppings lane end. Substitute scored winning goal, rumour had it they forgot to tell him city were playing to lose. remember the sloppy penalty city missed Ontarian. Think Wednesday lost 2-1 in front of about 45,000. memory's a bit blurred.  That's about the size of it. Ian Bowyer was the sub and I think it was Mike Doyle that tapped the penalty just hard enough to reach the keeper. I missed the first twenty minutes after travelling by train and taxi from Stockport after work. Wished I'd saved my hard earned. Â How right you are Jim, Ian Bowyer got both City goals and Tony Coleman scored for the Owls the rest is history and not good reading. top4718   838 #34 Posted February 24, 2018 Didn’t see Clare’s goal but Villas was a very sloppy one to concede, Owls looking ok though and Joao should have done better with a headed chance at 1-1.  ---------- Post added 24-02-2018 at 15:40 ----------  Don’t want to tempt fate but Owls well on top, got to make these chances count. top4718 Â Â 838 #35 Posted February 24, 2018 Excellent first half, Villa lucky to still be in the game, need to keep it up 2nd half though as you can never rule a team of their quality out.
 Share this content via...
