Restoring iTunes library to new PC

Currently have my iTunes library on a laptop (Windows 7) backed it up to an external disk, this went ok, restored from external disk to iTunes library on PC (Windows 10) ensuring both devices were on same version of iTunes.

When I open iTunes on PC it does not display all the music I have restored.

Any suggestions please.

Also as a footnote thanks to everybody who responded to my Windows 10 key thread which I cannot find, that’s sorted now.

For info restoring iTunes library before installing iTunes seemed to be the solution, not install iTunes then the iTunes library.
