Just tuned into ITV to watch Phil Collins and instead I've been greeted with Donald Pleasence! For a dead man he sure has a cracking singing voice!

Donald Pleasance is perhaps the most underrated actor of his generation. Folks often reduce him to Dr Loomis in the Halloween films, one of his dullest roles. I recommend Cul-de-Sac or Soldier Blue for film buffs, and of course his performances in The Great Escape and You only live twice (on which Mike Myers based Dr Evil) for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Speaking of which...
