Galaxy S6 transfer photos to laptop

Recommended Posts

Thought this would be a simple task, but no!

I seem to recall that my win7 laptop used to recognize my phone (at least until the recent update) but no longer does.

I can't locate any USB or MTP options anywhere on it. I've downloaded Kies 3 software as recommended, but so far doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Done it, needed S6 USB files putting on laptop, then it recognized the phone, then files could be uploaded to computer via USB.

I'm trying to find out whether this model, Dell 1745, has an enabled bluetooth facility.

I wouldn't bother. Even though Bluetooth has supposedly improved over the years, every time I have tried it still seems to go at the old super super slow speeds it always did. With the size of modern photos its going to take DAYS vs minutes.

Well I don't think it has it anyhow, so I'll use the cable!
