Fancy a drive tomorrow, wanting a country pub with a log fire and a selection of real ale if anyone can help?

How far do you want to drive? Miners at Hundall? Travs at Apperknowle?

Definitely not the Strines. An awful pub IMO.

Not the Norfolk Arms either.

Try the Grouse at Longshaw, or the Cheshire Cheese in Hope. Both nice places to linger and the Grouse does great food.

Not been in 20 years or so, but I like the idea of going.

Is it a bit dated now? :)

I’ve not been for a year or so. It’s ok for a quick drink, but the beer and the food are distinctly average. There are nicer places, which is a shame as it is in a great location
