Actually approx. £550 take home pay is not a lot considering there playing in the best league in the world, also their career ends at an early age 35ish.

750 thousand per player per year - Celtic

41 000 thousand per player per year - Hamilton!

I've never quite understood the 'sympathy' for footballers whose football career ends in their mid-thirties. Does this mean that they can not be expected to do another job afterwards?

ps. not a personal question directed at you, just a general observation.

I remember when Johnny Haynes captain of Fulham and England was given 100 quid a week and the world of sporte went crackers. Most top footballers at that time were making about twice a skilled tradesman's wages, and plenty thought that was disgusting for only working on a Saturday afternoon. LOL:D
