World cup where to watch outside?

Recommended Posts

Best screen is the 200 inch in Genting not just because of the size but also the quality is the best I have ever seen on any tv ever.

They are clearly trying to make it a sports bar in its own right as it is separate to the casino and has its own entrance.

However the place is too packed out for my liking during England games.

Given other areas of the country have set up a few 'fan zones' to watch the football, you would have thought Sheffield Council might have been on this with a screen in the Peace gardens or somewhere, given it's a Saturday afternoon match. Charge plot space for a few food stalls and beer bars to offset the cost and everyone is happy.

Can only hope that this will happen if we actually get to the final.

I believe there will be a fanzone event on Devonshire Green for the semi final on Wednesday,

There will be.

Abbeydale Picture House are showing it too, but it is ticketed. A tenner to get in. For that you get two drinks and a guaranteed seat in the cinema.

Plus £1.37 booking fee ;-)

It's a good atmosphere there but I'm not sure how I feel about watching it sitting down

Yes it's a great screen but the place is too busy and full of laaaads for my liking.

The last time I went there I ended up watching it downstairs in the casino, despite having booked a table. I think the Grosvenor may be an option for Wednesday
