melthebell   862 #1 Posted February 14, 2018 Just thought it would be interesting to talk about the injuries currently blighting the Owls.  Does anybody have any stats for how long players have been out? i'm sure somebodys collected the data out there somewhere lol. Most seem to have been out for 2 or 3 months..longer in FFs case.  also Jos today mentioned Westwood needed an operation and i know FF already has had one, anybody else actually know if any are that bad? Hotmale 1954 Â Â 201 #2 Posted February 14, 2018 (edited) To be honest Mel, all I seem to remember is players being substituted or applauded at the end of their spell, only to discover that they'll be out for 2 years. I don't remember seeing them get injured, but if they did, it was 'just a knock '. One Hell of a knock if you ask me....... Let's face it, you'd have to have been hit by a bus to be out as long as Foresteri. ALAN 58 Â Â 10 #3 Posted February 14, 2018 Westwood, Hutchinson, Lee and Fletcher had injury issues long before joining the Owls and it appears we took the gamble and are now paying the price.
 Share this content via...
Treeman893 Â Â 10 #4 Posted February 14, 2018 Could these injuries have been caused by the part synthetic pitch. There is most likely an underlying cause for so many serious injuries. Crystal Palace have a mass of injuries and they have a part synthetic pitch.
 Share this content via...

A.B.Yaffle   24 #6 Posted February 14, 2018 Maybe some of them aren't really injuries but players who are don't really want to play but still want to get paid? It happens at a lot of clubs.
 Share this content via...

SomeNextGuy   10 #8 Posted February 14, 2018 I find it all very hard to believe. It may just be a massive coincidence, but surely the more likely scenario is either some monumental failings of the physio and medical teams, or some dodgy goings on behind the scenes. top4718   838 #10 Posted February 14, 2018 Some of our players are on the older side, it sounds like the training under CC was a bit lax and it’s caught up with us, older players recovery time is longer.  FF had a cruciate ligament injury which is about the worst a footballer can get, Kieran Lee has a recurring hip problem that if rumours are to be believed could finish him, Hooper and Lees are about the closest to a return. 1295galaxy   20 #12 Posted February 15, 2018 All The Owls fans need some clear information about what is happening with the players and injuries at the club and why is Foresteri allowed to get fit some where else instead of back in Sheffield,Jos deserves a lot of praise for giving the young players at the club to prove themselves as Carlos stuck with is same group of players who never got dropped even if they played rubbish,so the players never got worried of losing there position in the team, that is why we got worse instead of better
 Share this content via...
