Â He got that job with the Beatles because of his personality not his drumming.. Pete Best was regarded by his peers and fans alike to be the better drummer, but he was stabbed in the back by his bandmates because he was quiet and all the girl fans liked him more than the other band members. So in came bubbly, ugly Ringo to make them feel better. Not one of the Beatles ever contacted Pete again, feeling guilty or what?
