No age really these days. Weird it wasn't announced for about a week after his death?

I think it was his first film along with Hayley Mills as his young bride. One of a spate of real life type films started by Saturday Night And Sunday Morning. What a shame he is only my age RIP Hywell.

I once saw him in the Penny Farthing night club in Sheffield, this was in the late Sixties or early seventies. His ex wife Kathy McGowan was with him but she was sat in one of those little cubicles on her own while he was at the bar chatting up the girls.

He was in "The Quest"films which also featured David Jason and Roy Hudd. The films were about three teenagers going on bike rides in the 60s, and featured some good music and nostalgic bikes.

Hywel and Hayley also appeared together in 1968 for the film Twisted Nerve.

Superb performances from the pair. R.I.P. Hywel.

I liked him in The Virgin Soldiers. I can recommend the book by the way. It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud but that book did all those years ago.
