Thornbridge are holding multi-venue fest this week spread over the Bath, Hallamshire and Greystones, including Tap Takeovers and Meet-The-Brewer events. The MTBs are free but ticketed, links below, don't shoot the messenger if they're sold out (I know Thursday's is so not bothered with the link, not checked other two)

Hoping to sneak into Hallamshire this Friday without having to get a ticket. I have no wish to "meet the brewer", I just want to enjoy a couple of pints in one of my locals early doors (3.30 - 5)

I love sours but they can both get (back) in the sea

I`m interested in those beers. Loved the Wild of the Sea but possibly only because I had it matched with scallops; not sure they work as drink alone!

I detest mushrooms but apparently it doesn't taste too much of them. That's why I'm glad I've seen it draft, definite 'try before you buy' beer, which ain't easy with a bottle! Same for the In The Sea

I had the Wild lobster thingy in the Sheffield Tap a few weeks ago. It was...interesting... Seaweed in beer I sorta get. Lobster and cockles - not for me tho. That said, I'll try the mushroom one with an open mind.

Well, I suppose the tradition is there with oyster stout `n` that. I`m not big on beer `n` food pairings so I`ll be interested if any of this type of beer work as `stand alone` drinks. Others I know that had Wild of the Sea struggled to drink it but with food is was a belter imo.

TBH Jemmo I'm not really a seafood fan. It just shows how much of a beer geek I am that I gave 'Of The Sea' time of day to begin with. Fortunately I had a mate willing to swap. I doubt I could have even finished half.

Tickets for the MTB are sold out but might try n get to Greystones on Saturday too!
