New to sheff - help!

Sheffield-ers! Greetings!

I hope everyone is well and recovering from the festive period!

I'll keep the question simple...where's hot and where not in the night scene here? Don't want to walk into somewhere I won't come back out again!

Genting casino is great for cocktails and a get together. It's near the peace gardens.

If your in the town centre or ecclesall road / broomhill I don't think anywhere is particularly bad these days.

I think a lot of the rougher pubs have fallen by the wayside as more and more pubs closed down.

I'd imagine there are still a few pubs dotted about some of the rougher suburbs that might be a bit tasty but suppose your less likely to be headed for them.

I think that was meant as a subtle joke. The Hen and Chickens is in Castle Green-off Castle Street- and if visiting you could walk in backwards to pretend you were coming out !

Defiantly not for me then! Normal, social locations are what I'm after! Suppose every town has a pub with 'character' haha

yes plenty of character but if you ever run short of supplies you can get everything from a pair of socks to the town hall clock but if you want the clock they will need a couple of hours notice
