pattricia   575 #1 Posted August 30, 2017 Good try but not the same without Mary Berry. Did you see it ? What did you think ?
 Share this content via...
metalman   21 #2 Posted August 30, 2017 To be honest I thought it was pretty much the same as it always is, probably because it's a programme where the presenters don't really have to do very much.
 Share this content via...
willman   10 #3 Posted August 30, 2017 I've only seen snippets of the previous shows, but i left last nights episode to play simply to pass on time. Competitor selection was obviously not uppermost on their thoughts - even i knew who was going home and probably for the next two weeks. Pru was up her own behind tbh - she thinks she's dealing with professional chefs on GBM or some such show. I quite like Sandi and Noel - although not enough to actually watch the programme on purpose in the future.
 Share this content via...
taxman   12 #4 Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) Never watched it in the past and only put it on last night as background because there was nothing else.  I quite enjoyed it to be fair but wouldn't rush home to watch it or set it to record. Mister M Â Â 1,624 #5 Posted August 30, 2017 Do Mel and Sue still present it? They're even less entertaining or amusing that Cannon & Ball.
 Share this content via...

Guest   #8 Posted August 30, 2017 Good try but not the same without Mary Berry. Did you see it ? What did you think ?  I thought it was funny when that female judge criticized the inclusion of a non edible flower on that girls cake and Noel Fielding said, "oh that's my favourite bit" and put it in his mouth and pretended to eat it. WestTinsley   11 #9 Posted August 30, 2017 I really don't understand why anyone would watch the programme no matter the channel.
 Share this content via...

I'll go along with that, watching someone bake a cake must be like watching someone paint then watching it dry.
 Share this content via...
metalman   21 #11 Posted August 30, 2017 I'll go along with that, watching someone bake a cake must be like watching someone paint then watching it dry.  To be fair I seem to remember some fairly popular programmes like that - Paint along with Nancy (Kominsky) was one, and I'm sure Ashley Jackson's done one as well.
