littlebasher   11 #147 Posted February 14, 2017 Sounds like it's too good to just scrap!  I'm any case, scrap you'll get < £100 and likely see it on here a week later with a MOT for £600 !
 Share this content via...
Vaati   11 #148 Posted February 15, 2017 The selling of the cars isn't allowed in this thread. If you wish to do this, put an advert in the Sheffield Classified Ads if selling.
 Share this content via...
biggsy   10 #149 Posted May 27, 2017 Hi all  I've a 2001 Honda Civic that needs to go, How much do they realise as scrap?  The car weighs around 1200kgs, I just phoned Coopers, they said around £50..  The car is tested until the end of february next year..   Cheers Biggsy
 Share this content via...
El Cid   214 #150 Posted May 27, 2017 I think that because there are fewer scrap yards, they try to keep the price down, its all about bartering. I had a car, which I though it might be easier to scrap, the scrap man did not give a price, wasnt 100% sure if he wanted it, I sold it for £300 with test. There was a time when people said that you could get £300 in scrap value.
 Share this content via...

sedith   19 #152 Posted May 27, 2017 Put the car on here for 'spares or repair' ... if its got a test on it somebody will want it even if it has a little work needed.
 Share this content via...

dongle   10 #155 Posted September 18, 2017 Any idea on the scrap value of a lwb Renault master van, Not been driven for a few years, and we used it for storage, not tax or test. Large dent in side door, brakes will be ceased on no doubt. Done an online search which comes back at around £210 for a poor condition and major mechanical fault.
