Hi everyone,

Got a po303 error message on vagcom and a garage said it is a lambda sensor.

I am planning on changing it myself.

Can anyone tell me how many there are on a :

VW Bora 1.6 16v yr 2000 ??

Thanks,

Dave

I few years ago my ex was having the problem, I don't know which is more likely to be faulty, but yes, the cat one is more important I think, as the cat needs it to monitor oxygen levels, if I remember rightly x

Had a 2000 Seat leon which had a Lambda sensor failure. Would have thought they would be very similar engines.

Leon had 4 and recommendation was to have them all swapped at same time. (This was after 3 failed - 1 per month!)

Most likley 2, before cat and after cat. But you will find P0303 is a misfire on cylnder 3. Try a set of plugs first. Then try a coil pack.

Indeed, my ex was told, now you've clicked my memory, that his lambda sensor was knackered, but in fact, he just needed a new coil pack! x
