whiteowl   54 #1 Posted June 22, 2018 Was in my local last night and found that half the pumps were off due to the brewery being unable to deliver some beers/ciders. Apparently there's a major shortage of CO2 that is affecting quite a lot of industries, particularly the drinks industry.  Perhaps it's time to get some cans in from the supermarket to weather the drought !  (Or drink real ale, which I know a lot of people wax lyrically about but I just can't stand the stuff ! )  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-44559669  https://news.sky.com/story/first-beer-now-chicken-shortage-warnings-as-co2-stocks-fall-11412501
 Share this content via...

Arthur Ritus   30 #8 Posted June 22, 2018 Rubs salt in a bit - when hot i shouldn't be running the air con because the co2 from the electricity generation adds to the green house effect but no cold lager neither because of no co2
 Share this content via...
Top Cats Hat   10 #9 Posted June 22, 2018 (Or drink real ale, which I know a lot of people wax lyrically about but I just can't stand the stuff ! )  Which one in particular?  At Maison du Biére at Elsecar Heritage Centre they have over 300 different real ales. Are you seriously telling me you don't like any of them?
 Share this content via...

"I'm left with people sitting around doing nothing," said operations director Mark Hammond.
