Blades v Barnsley

Recommended Posts

Looking for the blades to bounce back at home ,after 2 very hard games away

Still don't think it will be easy but the blades will scrape through this game

2-1 should be a good crowd let's see:)

2-0 for me. Fully expect them to let the chains off a little.

Evans to play instead of Clarke.

Goals in this I reckon.

3-2 / 2-2

I think Barnsley's Championship experience may give them the edge.

1-3

For me this is the biggest test to see where we really are. I expect Barnsley to be in a relegation battle this year so it is important we don't lose, we also need to make Bramall Lane a fortress so I think we need to be winning this game. Whether we will or not we will have to wait and see.

Hope not, otherwise we're going to lose every game to teams that were in the Championship last season!

Might have a chance against Bolton and Millwall though. :)

Barnsley had a great result against Forest and will be up for it.

We are probably going to have to change the defence if Steerman is still suffering with the hamstring.

1-1

To explain I meant out of two fairly closely matched teams their experience of the Championship might shade it for them.

Yes, I know you did, but it was too good to let pass. :)

I think the fact that we are local to them will have more bearing, they'll be desperate to win but hopefully Wilder will have our lads equally up for it.

Personally I have never regarded them as rivals any more than any other team.

The S6 Massive are our only real rivals in my view.

Why Saturdays match against Barnsley is at 12-15 while the following week we play Derby at 3.00 PM is anyone's guess.

SYP advice probably, but if so it's hard to figure out the reasoning behind it.

.

I think their main rivals are Wednesday and maybe Leeds.. i think they have a bit of sympathy for sufc

Id say the past few years sufc have had to deal with chesterfield or doncaster as 'rivals'.

Not in my view,or indeed in the view of any fellow supporters who's opinions I am aware of.

Just the Massive, the rest are simply local sides that mean a shorter journey to go to watch United.

No disrespect to them by the way it's simply the way it is.
