one sided footage

Two wrongs don't make a right, united were claiming last season that they're players don't do that kind of thing.

One sided footage??? Witnesses and the statement from Middlesbrough FC suggest otherwise.

That linesman needs banning and an eyesight test, plus test on the laws of the game, not only for the wrong offside but for the other decisions he got wrong as well,a month out might be a start.Plus there was the non penalty decision for the shirt pull on Clarke,it's a foul anywhere else on the pitch, ref bottled it.

Lol, you told us in post #71 that the 'goal' was disallowed for a foul. Never mind, a good win at Cardiff and it'll stop hurting. :)

It's gone right over your head hasn't it?

They told Wilder that it was disallowed for a foul when he asked them after the final whistle.

This was after they had the time to cook up that conspiracy between them when they realised that there was never an offside.

Or maybe they realised it was never a free kick in the first place so tried to make amends.

Maybe they give the free kick to make amends for not giving a penalty, and giving offside against a player who was 5 yards on.

Let the FA add it to the rule book that officials can make amends for bad decisions by evening things up later,so we all know where we stand, and let's see where football goes from there.

At the end of the day you got what you deserved from the game - nothing. Men against boys.

So we can have as many wrong decisions from officials as we like as long as the result is 'deserved',let's get that into the rule books as well then,so we all know where we stand, 'if your team doesn't play as well as the other team, officials can make decisions that make sure you lose'...........is that OK?

We had some truly horrific decisions last season, see the blatant hand ball at Derby for a good example, the refs are totally untouchable and don't have to account for their ineptness, its not going to change anytime soon.

Even the handball from Hoopers header Saturday, just take it after a little moan and get on with it.

I was under the impression that this was a forum where people were able to discuss matters of interest.

Apparently not, it's classed as moaning if certain people disagree with the subject to hand.

No one to my knowledge is querying the result on Saturday, everyone who has any experience of watching football is fully aware that injustices in the form of incorrect decisions take place in virtually every game played.

The thing that makes what happened at Middlesbrough different is the twisting and turning of the facts by both the officials and Sky after the event.

Had it simply been accepted that the wrong decision had been given then whilst annoying it happens carry on to tonights game.

That's not what happened though is it?

Following the incident several replays were viewed and the Sky pundits agreed that the goal should have stood.

Then they released a split screen image which claimed to be taken at the exact same moment proving that O'Connell was offside.

All the images proved was that they were taken split seconds apart, several players were in different positions in the second image.

Additionally in the first image it showed Duffy making contact with the ball but he wasn't included in the second image because obviously the ball was on its way in that image and so had to be excluded.

Then we have the referee trying to explain it away by saying that O'Connell fouled their player.

But the referee didn't blow for a foul, and the referees assistant ( or linesman as I prefer ) was clearly signalling offside.

There is no confusing the flag position for a foul with the position signalling offside.

So, the question is "what the hell was that all about?"

A mistake ( hopefully ) was made, they happen, so why the ridiculous attempted coverup?

That's why it was an interesting subject for discussion on a forum which I thought was there for that purpose.

Anyone who disagrees has an obvious remedy haven't they?

Don't open the thread and don't bother commenting on it.

You do talk twaddle ............... I hoped they wouldn't be any good not having seen anything of them for a few years however United are a hard working bunch with a bit of something about them , I wouldn't be surprised If they did well

and for the record they deserved a draw
