Sheffield Gyms of the past?

I remembered a gym established on the corner of Bank St and Snigg Hill very early 60's. It was probably the first gym I'd seen that had carpet on the floor and chromed equipment. I think it was called the 'Universal Health Studio' and it had a high pressure sales team that almost stuck their hand in your pocket to get your money.

If that was the one on the corner building, up on the 2nd or 3rd floor then it later became Olympic gym.

Does any body know were dave bergess is now

Donna Hartley's in Tiger Works, West Street in the 80s/90s.

Was previously known as "Body Talk".

Later turned into a brothel.

The gym on Broadfield Road just along from the dairy was called Peak Physique. About 1993.

I went to the old steel city gym across from the roebuck tavern in the city centre.it was just before the big redgates round about if you were looking down where the fire station is .this was a proper old school gym.full of proper massive bodybuilders. I left cause I was not big enough at that time. lol.

my first gym  was bottom  of thomas st   the owner was called   hewy bell   in early  60is  him & wife was  a balancing act   went  on tv ewy green show  

I went to Pete Grahams Health Studio in town in the late 60/early 70s
