80’s Commercial Street Nightclub

I thought there was a Turnups at Nether Edge. May have been in the old Nether Edge Hall. Remember going there on Thursday nights about 1973.

The club moved from the bottom of Byron Road to Commercial Street.... Happy memories of 1984 onwards in there for me.

Was there 2 called Turn Ups? I always thought Turn Ups was at Nether Edge.

Yes, the original Turnups was in Nether Edge (I forget where). They had to relocate under similar circumstances to that of the Mojo Club in Pitsmoor, as in residential area and all that. So Commercial Street was perhaps Turnups 2.
