Dave Allen has done a lot of good in Sheffield so i dont know why you have to say it like that?? job creation for many, yes hes very wealthy but so what hes earnt it and taken the risks.

The latest is, a block of flats are going to be built with an underground car park.

The thing is the Ecclesall Road site doesn't have room for expansion and with the closure of Baldwins Omega to Dave Allen sees the market potentially moving to an expanded Owlerton site that will cater for both markets.

Although the last upgrade years ago made it much better, it's now not a good layout for modern casino, so I agree here.

Baldwins shutting won't help, but I doubt is the main reason. It probably just doesn't make enough, partly because of how the market has changed, and partly because it's now in the wrong place, due to changes in habits. Not worth spending money on, in other words.

If you could lift the building up, and place it somewhere like where the Pointing Dog is, then a refurb or re-layout would almost certainly be done! It would make a fortune in that position, I bet (sorry)

just heard that a casino is going to be in the new chinese shopping and leisure area at bottom of Bramhall lane, apparently napoleons have moved the gambling licence to here? allegedly ?dont know how true it is?
