darylslinn   10 #29 Posted January 13, 2018 The thing is the Ecclesall Road site doesn't have room for expansion and with the closure of Baldwins Omega to Dave Allen sees the market potentially moving to an expanded Owlerton site that will cater for both markets. *_ash_* Â Â 88 #30 Posted January 13, 2018 The thing is the Ecclesall Road site doesn't have room for expansion and with the closure of Baldwins Omega to Dave Allen sees the market potentially moving to an expanded Owlerton site that will cater for both markets. Â Although the last upgrade years ago made it much better, it's now not a good layout for modern casino, so I agree here. Â Baldwins shutting won't help, but I doubt is the main reason. It probably just doesn't make enough, partly because of how the market has changed, and partly because it's now in the wrong place, due to changes in habits. Not worth spending money on, in other words. Â If you could lift the building up, and place it somewhere like where the Pointing Dog is, then a refurb or re-layout would almost certainly be done! It would make a fortune in that position, I bet (sorry)
 Share this content via...

diksey   17 #33 Posted January 14, 2018 Can't see many Napoleons customers wanting to trek down to Owlerton, £20.00 plus for a taxi at least there and back, if you want to have a drink that is.
 Share this content via...
