cgksheff   44 #3 Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) Just read Poland have dropped retirement age to 60 for women and 65 for men, what are we doing wrong in the UK.  i. The state pension in Poland will not be sufficient to enjoy such early retirement. ii. The state budget will not be able to finance the new pensions for long. iii. Things will change.  Don't forget that you can retire at 60 if you want to. Edited February 21, 2018 by cgksheff
 Share this content via...
tzijlstra   11 #4 Posted February 21, 2018 Just read Poland have dropped retirement age to 60 for women and 65 for men, what are we doing wrong in the UK.  Mainly the fact that a populist is in charge in Poland, all he is interested in is satisfying the short term and gaining votes, not looking at the long term. This will come to bite the Polish in the backside and those switched on enough already realise this.
 Share this content via...

Most of us have to wait much longer.  You can't get your state pension at 60,it's 66 all round, the people who made this decision don't need it but there's thousands who have no choice do.
