Publisher type program

Years ago I had a very good version of office that came with a publisher section can anyone recommend something similar but cheaper than Microsoft just to do basics like business cards etc., I'm on windows 10.

There is this, I've never used it, so if you give it a try post back saying how good or bad it is.

Serif Pageplus is good, you used to be able to get an older version for free from their website but it may have been discontinued.

Although with their "DFS style" deals, business cards from Vistaprint is probably going to be easier.

I tried the download version but couldn't get it to work so I bought a copy from amazon, I have installed it but cant see a way to print a page of business cards .

If its anything like Open office writer you go to

File/New/ then theres 2 options down the bottom (Labels / Business cards)

You 'bought' a copy of Scribus? It should not be sold as it is freeware! Where did you originally download it from and is your computer 32 or 64 bit?

I downloaded it from the official scribus web site it was the 64 bit version for win 10.

well i installed it and found where you create business cards from a template, not found out how you create a full page of em yet tho, as i keep duplicating / copy, pasting bits of it lol

then it crashed

On launch warning message saying Ghostscript was not installed. This message occured everytime Scribus was launched.

Installed GhostScript for Windows verison 9.22 (32-bit) from:

https://www.ghostscript.com/download/gsdnld.html

GhostScript warning message no-longer displayed.

Created a single A4 sheet with some text and an image, and it printed OK (as well as can be expected on a mono laser printer)

Yeah i didnt have ghostscript installed, didnt bother installing it tho

I have Scribus installed on Zorin 12.2 64-bit Ultimate - it comes with Business Card Templates.
