carosio   186 #1 Posted February 18, 2018 Thought this would be a simple task, but no!  I seem to recall that my win7 laptop used to recognize my phone (at least until the recent update) but no longer does.  I can't locate any USB or MTP options anywhere on it. I've downloaded Kies 3 software as recommended, but so far doesn't help. Any suggestions?
 Share this content via...

carosio   186 #3 Posted February 18, 2018 Will try, thanks.  ---------- Post added 18-02-2018 at 23:29 ----------  Done it, needed S6 USB files putting on laptop, then it recognized the phone, then files could be uploaded to computer via USB. carosio   186 #5 Posted February 19, 2018 I'm trying to find out whether this model, Dell 1745, has an enabled bluetooth facility.
 Share this content via...
AlexAtkin   10 #6 Posted February 19, 2018 (edited) I wouldn't bother. Even though Bluetooth has supposedly improved over the years, every time I have tried it still seems to go at the old super super slow speeds it always did. With the size of modern photos its going to take DAYS vs minutes. Edited February 19, 2018 by AlexAtkin
 Share this content via...
