nuyorican   10 #1 Posted January 8, 2018 Hi,  I usually run in the park but would like to know if there are any tracks in Sheffield? Any ideas welcome.  Also, I was watching a film recently and someone was running up and down the seating areas in a football stadium. Seemed like a great workout, any idea if United/Wed grounds are available for casual use?  Thanks!
 Share this content via...
Mouserat   10 #2 Posted January 8, 2018 I know that several local running clubs use Woodbourn Road:-  https://www.shu.ac.uk/current-students/sport/sports-facilities/athletics-stadium  You might also want to look at the Outdoor City Run Routes - they're not tracks but they are measured, marked routes:-  http://theoutdoorcity.co.uk/the-outdoor-city-run-routes/
 Share this content via...

jemson   10 #4 Posted January 9, 2018 There`s also the indoor stadium at EIS which is often available for individuals. The running up steps can be good but it is very high intensity / high injury risk imho.
 Share this content via...
Antone   10 #5 Posted January 9, 2018 Is there still a running track in Norfolk Park?   Also, I was watching a film recently and someone was running up and down the seating areas in a football stadium. Seemed like a great workout, any idea if United/Wed grounds are available for casual use? You can get just as good a work out on the flat, using interval training type things, IMO
 Share this content via...
