At that age it appears to be transistorized rather than having valves. What's wrong with it?

wow, i started out listening to my punk records on a radiogram lol, like a wardrobe on its side :P

It's a sterosound model 9500D. Manufactured by sterosound @ Brighouse.

The turntable doesn't work and cassette player doesn't play properley
