ez8004   10 #15 Posted December 30, 2017 Can’t understand the angst with McAfee. It is run by Intel and used by government and their contractors, which proves its trustworthiness and reliability. There is really nothing wrong with their software in terms of performance or reliability. I can only assume that it’s a user issue if you have problems.  Edit: forgot to mention. If you have BT Broadband, McAfee included for free.
 Share this content via...

If you have BT Broadband, McAfee included for free.  I used Mcafee AV at my last employer. Every time the virus definitions were updated, you had to reboot the PC.  What else, oh yeah, the CEO is a loon (and I know loons)  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-latin-america-20347700/software-pioneer-john-mcafee-denies-belize-murder  He’s a real-life Tony Stark with all of the lunacy and none of the eccentricity.  Do you really want him sniffing round your computer ?? Mikes10   10 #17 Posted December 30, 2017 Intel obtained McAfee early 2011 with the rights to use the Name. John McAfee has nothing to do with the product.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McAfee    Interesting story about JM here:  http://abcnews.go.com/US/rise-fall-rise-john-mcafee-tech-pioneer-person/story?id=47346015
 Share this content via...
