swarfendor437   14 #2 Posted August 19, 2018 Take your pick:  http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/27/featured/5-best-free-screen-recording-software.html  In the past I have used Cam Studio - listed here. But there have been reports in the past in Computer Magazine that it had security flaws?  As I tend to use GNU/Linux there is free screen recorders present by default (Kazam). Others include 'recordmydesktop', 'vokoscreenrecorder', Gnome Screen Recorder - the last one I made used this last one:
 Share this content via...
TheNugget   10 #3 Posted August 19, 2018 Screencastify as a Google Chrome extension is good. It can record anything on the PC screen, not just Google Chrome.
 Share this content via...

Interesting as there is some reference to charges in their privacy policy?:  https://www.screencastify.com/privacy/policy/  They also state that the videos get processed in the cloud - and lawyers in the IT field were rubbing their hands with glee stating that cloud services would be the next PPI gold mine! I'd rather process videos locally on a secure machine and upload to Vimeo than use a cloud based service.
 Share this content via...
