Fans' campaign to raise £20,000 for endangered local club

Hi everyone,

I've set up a supporters' fund (gofundme.com/2b7x8hu4) to help sustain the Sheffield Eagles through to their proposed takeover. So much work has gone into growing the club in the local community as well as on the pitch, and we're trying to raise money to bridge the gap between the end of season in October and anticipated takeover in November.

We've raised nearly £12,000 since Wednesday evening, with a goal of £20,000 within three weeks, and our campaign has been covered by the Star:
