I have the same problem . . . Watched them more than once but I still can't understand why everyone is so crazy about them. I think the reason is that three decades ago there were no other movies like them, all the effects and the story.

Predictable and still good Just before you watch one of these movies (like Fast and Furious or Avengers) don't set your expectations high about the scenario. It helps me every time when i have to watch an action movie with my kids.
