Sharrow Vale Road market days

Recommended Posts

Sharrow Vale's very own Community Market is to be held on Sunday 22nd November between 12-4pm!

Sharrow Vale Road will be closed from Hunter's Bar to Cowlishaw Road, with stalls lining the road, local specialist shops open and activities such as face painting to keep the kids amused.

Come along and get Christmas presents early or just sample a selection of local produce, crafts, gifts, food and much much more!

For more information, or if you are wanting to have a stall on the day message me, or find us on Facebook!

Organised by The Sharrow Vale Community Association

Hey there, I'd be really interested in having a stall. I sell handpainted plates (see http://www.folksy.com/shops/mamapie) and I'm going to be adding some new Christmassy products, too. I also have a new business, selling vegan cupcakes! What are the terms/prices/etc for having a stall?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Liz Pyman

Mamapie/ Millymolly - thank you for your interest in having a stall at the market.

Stalls will cost £25 for the day - if anyone wishes to recieve an application form for traders please message me your email address and I'll send you an application form.

Completed forms will need to be returned by post by Friday 6th November, and we will be in contact shortly after to confirm if you have been successful in your application.

Tim.

This sounds very good. Are you having a similar event to Nether Edge? Their markets have been extremely successful - hope your event is too. However, you do realise you have to have a market licence for this? The Sheffield Council are very keen.

The Nether Edge Neighbourhood Group have had a couple of Farmers Markets this year and the next one is the 6th December. They have been very good events, except that at the last one the sausage stall caught fire! Sorry don't know how you could contact them. You could see if they have a web site.:)

Hi Tim

Otto's Restaurant will be open too so come along and try some authentic Moroccan food. By the way, sorry I didn't pop and see Chris today, I'll pop in tomorrow. Nice to have a community event going on in Sharrow Vale.

Regards

T @ Otto's

NENG hold four farmers' markets a year in Nether Edge. Their contact details are here http://www.netheredge.org.uk/ and I think the stalls are £25 each.

I'd guess there will be similar stalls at the Sharrow Vale one, so it should be really good
