whitelion   10 #1 Posted November 21, 2017 Tuesday 21st November: The Lowdown Acoustic Session The renowned acoustic session hosted by Rob Lowdon, of Treebeard, Jabberwocky and a performer in his own right, this gentle evening of acoustic music is open to all to listen, watch or join in.  8.30pm, free entry.  Wednesday 22nd November: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize.  Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner.  9pm, 50p entry Thursday 23rd November: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield.  Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more.  Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in.  8.30pm, free entry  Friday 24th November: Vamp Vamp formed in 2003 They are a South Yorkshire based band that gig all over the North of England.  They play a mix of 'Good Time' Classic Rock songs along with a few of their own mixed in. The band are a 'Digital Free Zone', playing Vintage Guitars through old Valve Amps.  Classic rock at it's very best.  9.30pm, free entry  Saturday 25th November: Black Sails Yaaaarrrr! In just a very short space of time, Black Sails have become one of Sheffield's premier rock bands. We're not kidding, these guys need to be seen to be believed.  Expect it loud, hard and heavy as the rock behometh that is Black Sails prepare to rock The White.  9.30pm, free entry.  Sunday 26th November: The Sunday Jam Hosted by The Carnival, the Sunday afternoon rock jam is back once again - 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
