Recommended Posts

This party badly needs to rename itself the Neo-Liberal Anti-Democrats.

After Labour renames itself - The Neo-Communist Anti-Semite Party.

A new political party for the UK?

https://renewbritain.org/

They are trying to place themselves in the Centre-Left of British politics & fancy themselves as a UK version of Macron's En Marche party.

Mission statement includes: We want to use a people-centred approach to drive the country, consulting real people in the decision making process to find real solutions" & "We need brilliant people from all ethnic, religious and social backgrounds to stand for parliament and support us in every part of the country. We have a positive vision to make Britain better and more equal than it has ever been before. We want this country to be open to Europe and the World, a place where anyone can become rich but nobody lives in poverty."

All well & good & they may make voters think for a while but I can't see them upsetting the mainstream or even the established fringe parties such as the Greens.

For G-ds sake, why can't people see that NEW parties takes votes away from Labour... They are cynically created by friends of the Tories.

If the people fall for this then sadly they deserve all they will get.

The lying, cheating, self serving, greedy, war mongering scum.

Here is where their loyalties lie...

Take a look at these videos and see just how the rest of the world see YOU.

and even your own Andre Neil is SICK of it.

What you are doing is Libelling the whole of the people who cote Labour...

While not naming 'Renew' specifically, there does appear to be the interest in a Centralist party of some kind?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/new-centrist-party-politically-homeless-brexit-labour-conservative-poll-a8312991.html

Been there. Done it all before. Didn't work.

1981 Social Democratic Party (SDP) born out of the Labour party, by 4 well known and well respected politicians, all experienced big-hitters. If they couldn't make it work, I don't think the Renew amateurs stand much of a chance.

As with the SDP, the only affect they'll have is to split the Labour vote and we'll get lumbered with the Tories again, and the most incompetant Tories in the hstory of the party, at that.

You seem to forget that the Labour vote is already split, at least two, maybe three ways.

Things do change, just because you believe it did not work back in those days, does not mean it wont work today.

The 'Renew' party want another referendum on the EU vote, I feel that is the stumbling block to a new party.

Renew doesn't seem to be doing much, but more hints of a breakaway Labour party:

Tony Blair hints at creation of UK centrist party

And what a suprise, Corbyn suckup Owen Jones attacks it:

A new party would just be a Blairite tribute act, discredited from the start

Comments on that second link are worth reading.

All parties need funding from donors and so are immediately compromised as those donors are always self serving.

New parties aren't the answer.

Its not new parties we need its new blood in the existing parties. Someone strong, capable and smart enough to reset them. All 3 of them.

Does that include Labour who have probably had more new blood than any other European party in decades?

Strong and smart definitely. The jury is still out on capable.

I think there will soon be breakaway Labour MPs along with some Tories. The Tories have drifted too far to the right and Labour to the left. These is a massive centre to fill, but it won’t be a new political party. I think the Lib Dem’s will be the rallying point. I predict an explosion of Lib Dem MPs at the next GE.
