Van runs down pedestrians in Toronto.

Details sketchy, but a white van has climbed a curb in downtown Toronto and mowed down pedestrians. 7 people in a trauma centre, driver is in custody. Seems deliberate as witnesses say driver had full control of the vehicle, and left the scene, but was caught later.

Just horrible, what on earth are the people thinking about who do these acts. RIP to the ten who perished.

Maybe Toronto should ban vans? But only the automatic ones.

It seems there was - he was following the van sounding his horn trying to get people to noctice what was coming their way.

Some interesting things came out of this tragedy. One being the cop choosing not to shoot said suspect, which was refreshing and a series of American "academics" - and I use that word loosely commenting on how said cop either bottled it or failed in his duty of care.

Stranger still, one of the witnesses owned a video shop. A video shop!!!! In 2018!!!!
