Work experience?

Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone knows of anywhere that takes people for work experience?

It is only for my little sister, she is of school age and it will only be for approximately 2 weeks.

preferably around the s20 area?

Got to agree but be where of exploitation. My son as left his job and the ower has said for a while he is going to get a lad of people to do work experience so he doesn't have to pay any wages.

also beware of short term contracts i worked for a sheffield company for 3 months and he sold the company and i was finished on April 1st.

She wants to be a police dog handler, however to do this you have to be a police officer for 3 years and then specialise.

there are no way that she can get relevant experience at 15 years old.. so really we are pretty open to suggestions.

How about a Veterinary practice or the local Blue Cross; it will give her experience of being with animals?

You are thinking about it the wrong way. I wanted to do medical laboratory science. I would need to be eighteen and have A levels but I was allowed to do work experience at sixteen. The pet care suggestions given above are good suggestions.

Some dog trainers do proper Police dog training. Unfortunately my husband trains our dogs near Wakefield so too far to be of use to you at this stage. It might be useful to consider attending some classes on Saturdays to see what its like to train these working dogs.
