I love them, they are succulent and very very tasty, but most of all they are one of the few reminders of my childhood which still taste remotely similar.

Hope they get here soon as it's nearly my bedtime and these wasps won't be patient forever!

I think a nice deep fried french wasp garnish goes well with a fray bentos pie.

Ah, Fray Bentos tinned pies with a sort of "meant to be crusty but soggy underneath pastry topping!"

You used to get the gristly bits (it was the cows appendix, I'm sure)

Haven't had one for years, they turned me veggie

I used to love my mum's home made tapioca pudding though and many can't stomach that (not my mum's, just in general)

I just made a lovely school dinner style cheese flan
