Anglersvista   10 #1 Posted February 14, 2012 Does anyone know if there are electrical plug points on East Mids trains? I know majority of Virgin Great Western do, but I'm going East Mids to London tomorrow. Just wanted to know whether its worth taking my plug for my iphone, as the battery power is pants. ampersand   10 #2 Posted February 14, 2012 i think you find them in the luggage racks in "standard" class - there may be some trains with them "at seat" but not all as far as I know
 Share this content via...

ampersand   10 #6 Posted February 14, 2012 the announcement says something like "it is available for a small charge" - not sure how small it is though
 Share this content via...
martss   10 #7 Posted February 14, 2012 Plugs are available at all seats on the Meridian trains, not sure about the HST units, I think only 1st class has them on those.  Wifi is free in 1st, small charge in standard, but it's not lightning fast or reliable. Archi3   10 #10 Posted February 15, 2012 Three or four volts?  Charge is measured in Coulombs, not Volts.  East Midlands trains don't have any accessible plugs in standard class.  You will be paying £4 for a journey's worth of wi-fi. £7.50 for all day. Hope that helps.
 Share this content via...

EbonyBranch   10 #12 Posted February 15, 2012 I think that you find that there are no plugs for public use on trains.  ... and they wonder why GCSE English is worth getting.  Depends on which trains and which lines. I usually travel to London via Doncaster, and all carriages have power sockets.
 Share this content via...
