Not cheap but not too expensive either, nice atmosphere.  Blue Room at woodseats is a fantastic brasserie. Great food, great atmosphere, very intimate and fantastic service... quite pricey though so be warned.  I appreciate these arn't city centre but you said you wanted the best places.
