The George Hirst Saga..

After months of wrangling and rumours the GH saga could finally be coming to a close with a positive for SWFC (something I thought would never happen), he's back in consideration for the U23's and will be considered in due course for the first team, hopefully this will put an end to a protracted mess that needn't have happened in the first place.

Lets hope he can live up to the hype now.

As someone has mentioned ..its great that Hirst is back training with the first team,obviously not match fit,which means he will fit in perfectly with rest of the squad straight away..!

I presume backed down on the bad advice he was given about wanting more money, more than the other under 23s etc get

Reading between the lines, I think that opportunity was more important than money. Jos has a track record of promoting young talent and I think that has helped to smooth things over.

He hasn’t signed a new contract yet though, so maybe Poundy has a point
