US actor Gene Wilder, remembered by many for his namesake role in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, has died at the age of 83, his family confirmed.

There is no life I know

To compare with

Pure imagination

Living there, you'll be free

If you truly wish to be

RIP to the man who was in one of my fave childhood movies...

Now Gene gets to join Marty Feldman , and can " walk this way" one more time lol. R-I-P Gene, you had me in stitches so many times.

He was a brilliant comic actor. His films with Richard Pryor are genius.

A true talent

Loved the Willy Wonka character but don't think I have seen any of his other films. Been recommended Stir Crazy, Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstein - hope one or more of them are on the box soon. :(
