Where was Clod Hall Stannington?

Recommended Posts

I have been researching our family history and have found 3 generations who lived at Clod Hall. I wondered if you might know of any photographs of it still in existance at all?

There is a book called "Around Stannington" produced by Stannington local history group.

I have a copy and interestingly it does have a photo of Clod Hall.

From the photo description..."this name referred to a collection of cottages, not one particular building. They were demolished and now covered by the Acorn Hill Estate."

Thank you, Allen.

I didn't know about the book, and that's very useful information so I will now be getting myself a copy

Looking at cutlers. There was a Nichols family here that made knives for the Indian market. Also looking at the Goodison family (Colin) who was the last  cutler in Stannington
