Millhouses99 Â Â 10 #1 Posted November 21, 2014 When I tell someone I practice the martial art of Wing Chun, I usually get a reply along the lines of 'I used to do Karate but it did my knees in', or 'I have not had the time for judo since I had kids and I cannot be bothered with being thrown on the floor by someone 20 years younger'. Â I have practised with a lot of Karate and judo people who once exposed to Wing Chun have been able to adapt rapidly to what is a principle based martial art. It allows you to train with limited risk of injury, and by increasing your body awareness it can improve your posture and the health of your spine. It is also a highly effective self defence method that can be practised by anyone no matter their size. Â If you are interested, check out our website. We have a new class at Ecclesall Parish Halls and new and experienced students are always welcome. The first class is free.
